ALEXANDRA KARAGIANNI

Alexandra Karagianni is a lawyer and Human Rights Defender. She has studied Law at the School of Law of the University of Athens and has done postgraduate studies in Public Administration.

She is an Expert of the Council of Europe and has collaborated with many national and international organizations including the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).

She is a human rights trainer and has trained many professionals to date with an emphasis on police personnel to prevent and combat discrimination.

She is a representative in the Network for Recording Incidents of Racist Violence and member of the National Council against Racism and Intolerance. Through her action, she has contributed to legislative reforms that mainly concern access to identification procedures and access to justice.
