Lawyer in Piraeus Bar Association. Active volunteer in the Greek section of Amnesty International from 1991 until the present. Ex Chair of the the greek section of Amnesty International between April 2019 and June 2021 and member of the Board of the Greek section from 1996-1998, 2001-2003, 2004-2010, 2017-2019, 2019 -2021 and 2023 until today. Treasurer of the same organisation for the period 2007-2010 and 2017-2019. Acting director of the Greek section of Amnesty International from April to October 2010. Representative of the section in eight international general assemblies of Amnesty international and other international fora. I have been volunteering for many years to defend and promote various human rights, such as the rights of lgbtqi people, conscientious objectors, the struggle against impunity for human rights crimes with the establishment of the International Criminal Court, the rights of activist lawyers and refugees and immigrants. regular member of the Appeals Committees of the (former) Ministry of Public Order, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Migration Policy from February 2011 to September 2015 and from December 2016 to February 2019. I have worked with the Church of Greece, the Hellenic League for Human Rights and the international non-governmental organization for children's rights, Defence for Children International, on legal services and support to adult and minor applicants for international protection. Alternate Member of the National Commission on Human Rights. I worked from January 2021 until November 2021 at European Union Agency for Asylum as a quality officer, supporting the greek Asylum Service and for the same agency in Cyprus as a second instance asylum expert from May 2022 until July 2023.
