The GNCHR in the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the National Development Program 2026-2030

The Greek National Commission on Human Rights (GNCHR), represented by its Director, Eva Tzavala, participated on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in the first meeting of the Monitoring Committee for the National Development Program 2026–2030. Law 5264/2025 (article 38) established for the first time a Monitoring Committee, comprising representatives of the State as well as social and economic partners, the GNCHR, the National Confederation of Disabled People, chambers of commerce, and others.

The GNCHR representative welcomed the establishment and diverse composition of the Monitoring Committee and briefed its Members on the NHRI’s role in monitoring the compatibility of funding procedures with human rights and the EU Charter.
